The program is allocated for the production of a 30-minute documentary that captures the festival’s theme of people in search of their identity “in a creative and vibrant way,” the festival said.
Beginning on April 30, directors and producers from all over the world can enter submissions at dciff.net, and the winner will be announced during the Cannes Film Festival. Production will begin on the short doc soon after the announcement, and the winning short will premiere at the Dialogue of Cultures festival, which is held this year on October 20 to 23 in Belgium.
Founded by producer Boris Cherdabayev, the Dialogue of Cultures International Film Festival is dedicated to globalization, and showcases features and docs with characters that are searching for their identity while still understanding and respecting other cultures.
